COMPELLING LEGAL PRINCIPLES § 44. Compelling legal principles should be generally accepted in the national legal orders of the Member States in order to be general principles of Community law. 'Generally accepted' does not mean that they must be expressly enumerated in each of the legal systems. It would be sufficient if its content were accepted - possibly in a different form - in all the national legal orders.
